Prime Business Solutions Ltd was formed in 1996 with the goal to become a leader in convergence solutions. This has been achieved through a five stage business plan, which has underpinned the company’s development. These key stages can be defined as:
Establish parallel voice and data solutions businesses
Merge the voice and data business to create ‘one team’
Develop industry leading in house lifecycle support services
Build upon technical leadership and innovation through six focused lines of business
Build comprehensive managed services portfolio and leverage expanded company potential
This long term plan differentiates it in the market place and has enabled Prime to build up an unrivalled pedigree for the provision of converged solutions that deliver tangible business benefits. This approach will ensure Prime remain at the forefront of its market as one of the most credible partners available to its customers.
In April 2004, in support of its long term goal, Prime became part of the 2e2 group of companies. The group currently has over 1200 employees and £148m annual runrate revenues. 2e2’s mission is to become a major IT Services partner in the UK and the Netherlands and to achieve revenues of £500m by 2009. Prime is now in a position to leverage the increased capability and financial strength of the group as they seek to develop the business.
Prime is the conspicuous success story in the IT services market and has achieved annual growth in excess of 60% with 2005 revenues of over £42m. Turnover this year is projected to exceed £48m. Prime employs over 200 people; the majority of these are based in the south east of England in London and Newbury. Prime maintains regional offices in London and Burton. Coupled with its Newbury HQ, it delivers solutions throughout the UK and worldwide through its global partner network.
Prime’s core business is the design, implementation and support of holistic voice & data infrastructures that provide increased competitive advantage. Prime’s solutions are provided through six focused lines of business (LOB), each managed by a senior industry figure. These are: Infrastructure, IP Communications, Interactive Media, Information Delivery, Security and Support Services. This structure enables Prime to provide the technical expertise required by each specific discipline whilst not loosing site of the inter dependencies and the ‘bigger picture’. This ensures that customers receive a solution that meets functional and operational expectations creating maximum return on investment.
This has been recognised in the industry with Prime receiving the following awards:
